Developing a food product for commercial sale is an exciting and challenging venture. Our Centres guide and support your efforts to successfully bring your product idea to market. Our process provides the technical, regulatory, safety and other supports needed, as you move through prototype development to scale-up and the final commercial product or ingredient.
We also help you take advantage of the benefits of utilizing processing technologies to increase efficiencies, develop low-cost or novel formulations, and assess different equipment. Our Centres have technical expertise for product and prototype developments, including least-cost formulation, re-formulations to respond to consumer needs (such as trans-fat removal) and determining shelf-life. We work with you to develop the right process design and can help you "lean" your process, and help look for ways to save on energy and waste.
