Overview
Since first opening its doors in 2009 Canada's Smartest Kitchen has been providing a range of food product development services to clients across Atlantic Canada. Canada’s Smartest Kitchen evolved from the Culinary Institute of Canada, where Chefs combined their expertise in the field of culinology with contracted food science support. Culinology focuses on taste, texture and aroma –which are vital to develop products for success in the marketplace. In addition to working in a state-of-the-art culinary research facility, the Canada’s Smartest Kitchen team also draws on the expertise of the 16 chef instructors of the Culinary Institute of Canada. CSK collaborates with other food science facilities, research organizations, and other service providers to offer clients a one stop shop for industry needs.
Core Services

Services offered to industry include:

·         Existing food product culinary re-engineering

·         Food Product culinary formula development

·         Culinary flavour evaluations

·         Chef support during scale up

·         Tasting focus groups, including a Chef Round Table Tasting Panel

In addition to culinary development, CSK provides unique (to the region) support for marketing efforts, including trade show support, food demonstrations, and food service support (menu development, etc).
